Pickled Veggies

I made my own batch of pickled veggies tonight. Two BIG jars. All. By. Myself.

I really hope I got the measurements right.

Guess we’ll find out in a couple of weeks. Cross your fingers with me! 🙂

  1. It looks right from the picture. I hope it tastes good – as good as anything pickled can taste (sorry I don’t have pickled food appreciation)


    1. I know I dumped in a bit too much cayenne pepper and then had to score some off the top. Just hoping it’s not too freaking hot. I also added some extra cider vinegar and water without measuring at the tail end because I was worried it wasn’t going to be enough for those two jars. My method was a bit haphazard. I ended up with enough, and a little extra that I didn’t need but it was better to have too much than not enough. Eager to see how it turns out. If we ever get a chance to introduce you to our firecrackers, we might turn you. 🙂


    1. They turned out GOOD. I’m SO glad. It’s a good thing too because we just got a ton of free veggies from a friend with a 2 acre garden and I’ll be canning up some more this weekend. We better start eating the ones we already have! LOL
