Chicken Salad with Walnuts

I would have never thought to add walnuts to chicken salad if it weren’t for Cat who shared her Honey Walnut Chicken Salad recipe last month. It just sounded really yummy. I didn’t make her recipe exactly as she did though. I took my regular recipe, removed a few things, and added walnuts.

The walnuts add a nice texture and new flavor to the salad.

I made this a couple of weeks ago and used:

  • 9.75 oz can chunk chicken breast
  • Miracle Whip
  • celery
  • cayenne
  • salt
  • pepper

This week I made another batch and I used:

  • 9.75 oz can chunk chicken breast
  • hard-boiled eggs – diced
  • Miracle Whip
  • red onion
  • carrots
  • cayenne
  • paprika
  • salt
  • pepper

YUM!

The moral of the story: you can vary chicken salad in so many ways and it’s a quick easy meal or snack food. More recipe variations below.

In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity.
