Movie Monday – Parental Guidance

Parental Guidance is a sweet, family oriented movie that should have a little something to offer just about every age. Grandparents who haven’t been involved much are suddenly needed for a few days of babysitting and of course hi-jinks and silliness ensue as the parenting styles of grandparents vs parents clash. It’s not out-of-the-box clever, and it’s somewhat formulaic and predictable, but it is fun and heartwarming and I enjoyed it a lot.

In spite of the six thousand manuals on child raising in the bookstores, child raising is still a dark continent and no one really knows anything. You just need a lot of love and luck – and, of course, courage.
