Adventures In Cat-sitting

The boys are getting along great with the in-laws. They got their first look at a gas fireplace this week.

Milo inspected while Olli lounged. Glad to hear they liked it – we’ll have one in the new house too!

Olli also warmed up to the cozy cat beds Jean bought. I knew he would eventually. He spills out a bit but he managed to wedge himself in there.

Milo, of course, pulled a Houdini out the back while the folks were grilling salmon for dinner – and they didn’t even know! LOL But true to form, he didn’t go far and they rounded him up once they realized he was missing. The little stinker.

Can I go in the garage instead?

I love all the updates Jean! Thanks for taking such good care of my fur-babies. They clearly aren’t wanting for attention and love. 🙂

Olli even snuggles up to the old guy. Awww…

Caught In the Act

Busted! (Licking the plastic frantically.)

Milo has a knack for avoiding the camera but I caught him in the act the other day. He was going to town, licking the bags. (I even got some video of it.) I don’t know what he gets from it but he’s always had a strange fascination with plastic.

Olli on the other hand has developed a bad habit of drinking from the toilet. Um, what?

Apparently the filtered water in the moving water fountain that I’ve been providing for the past 6 years just isn’t cutting it anymore. I can’t imagine what nutrients he could be getting from toilet water; or what flavors he’s attracted to. Ewww!

If a cat spoke, it would say things like, ‘Hey, I don’t see the problem here’.

Play Time…wait, not if you’re watching

Milo is notorious for noticing when attention is focused on him and quitting whatever it is he’s doing. Today I managed to get this shot of him while sleeping but barely.

Usually he can hear me creeping up trying to get a photo. He’s ever on alert. I wish he could relax a little more but those that know us well know that he’s had this problem for a little over a year now, since a particularly stressful event that took place in March 2012.

At least he does let down his guard and play a little, from time to time.
