haiku bags

I stumbled across this cute little bag, made by haiku, in Gruene, TX in March, at a little outdoor goods shop.

I fell in love. But I didn’t buy it. And I kicked myself for weeks. I did write down what it was and I was able to find it online. I planned on waiting until my birthday next month to treat myself to it since I didn’t really need a new purse. I just had been looking for this style for months and finally found it when it wasn’t entirely convenient to be buying something frivolous.

After many weeks of frustrated restraint, watching it sell out online with a number of vendors, and worrying that because it was a seasonal looking print that it might not be available in July…Don told me to just buy the damn thing already. So I did. 🙂

I LOVE my little haiku bag. Why? Well, couple of reasons…

  • It’s a bag with a long strap that can be worn cross-body which is super convenient and comfortable in my opinion.
  • The print of course.
  • And as an added bonus, it’s made from recycled bottles. Really!

Visit the haiku website to read how the fabric for their bags is made from post-consumer recycled bottles. You know me, I’m all about recycle, reuse, reduce. For others out there with similar values, I wanted to share this line of products with you. They have a lot of different styles, available in many stores and online. Check them out and share them with like-minded friends!

(**Please note, I have not been compensated in any way for my opinion; I simply like to share my product experiences with others.)

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.

  1. It is super cute. I would be curious to know if it had a high BPA content. I googled and didn’t come up with anything, but being made from plastic bottles has me wondering.
